Question about auto loan and divorce?

Already filed for divorce, he got the truck, I got the car. The problem is we are both on each auto loan. I didn't stipulate in the divorce decree that he had to refinance the vehicle, now I'm stuck with him making late payments, and ruining MY credit. The only way the bank says to get my name off is for him to refinance the auto, or to trade it in. Well, he's upside down on the loan, and I don't have the money to make up for it. He can't get approved for a new loan, and refuses to refinance it. Any suggestions would be wonderfull. I'm hoping that there might be a little known secret or something that would be able to work a miracle!

Question about auto loan and divorce?

Sorry, there are no little secrets. I am a finance manager. Depending on how upside down he is a new vehicle with large rebate could help with the negative equity. Also with the current state of Ford and GM they are buying customers that 10 years ago they wouldn't have. Try to convince him to trade it in for something new with a rebate.
